Goechala is a beautiful destination amid Mother Nature. The only way to reach this place is through walking. Travel to Yuksom by car and then initiate your journey with Glacier trek and Adventure and move on the top of the Goechala trek and witness the view of the giant Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Situated at an altitude of 4943 meters, it is a high altitude trek, and you need to always carry warm clothes while visiting Goechala. You can visit Goechala both in Summers and winters, but the weather varies drastically in both the seasons in the daytime, but the night always gives chilling vibes.

  • Goechala in Summer: When you plan to visit this place in the summer season, the temperature in the daytime is about 11 to 21 degrees Celsius, but the temperature falls to about 2 to 5 degrees Celsius at night. Though you won’t experience snowfall in the summer season, the weather is very cold, and you will experience the beauty of wild rhododendrons. You will get to see the wide diversity of flora and fauna and snowcapped mountains from a distance.
  • Goechala in winters: For all the now lovers, this is the best season to visit Goechala as you will experience lots of snow on your journey and on the final destination as well. The temperature during this time is quite low and varies between 5 to 8 degrees Celsius in the daytime, whereas it falls to about -1 to -4 degrees Celsius at night. In this low temperature, you will definitely experience snowfall. As you move high, the temperature reduces, and you will witness the pristine beauty of the snow-covered mountains and play with the fresh white snow and enjoy your trek. 

Though you can witness snow throughout the year, but in the summer season, you can only see it from a distance, but in winters, you can experience snowfall and play with the snow or even make a snowman.
